97% Fat Free
Some people believe that low fat products can’t taste good but no word of a lie, my wonderful ice creams are seriously 97% fat free.
Other good stuff to know
To find out how much of your % Daily Intake of ingredients such as protein, dietary fibre etc are in my products, just look at the easy-to-read nutritional thumbnails on the front of my packs or the Nutrition Information Panel on the back of pack.
The protein in The Skinny Cow is from milk and is listed on the label as milk solids. Milk is recognised as a high quality protein. Aren't cows wonderful!
My fabulous Ice Cream Cookies have just enough sugar in them to make them deliciously sweet without any artificial sweeteners. And my Sundae Cups and Sticks are "No sugar added" which means that only the naturally occurring sugar from dairy, called lactose, is present, as well natural fruit sugar in the fruit flavours, like my Strawberry Sundae. My Sundae Cups and Sticks recipes contain sweeteners instead. These sweeteners are called aspartame, sucralose, Ace-K and sorbitol.
You may know sucralose as the sweetener used in 'Splenda', and that 'Equal' and 'Nutrasweet' both contain the sweetener aspartame. The sweetener Ace-K is also an ingredient in 'Equal'.
My ice cream products are a source of calcium. They provide a minimum of 100mg of calcium per serve which is over 10% of an adults' recommended dietary intake (RDI).
The Skinny Cow cups give you even more - with the Vanilla Chocolate Sundae meeting 24% of your RDI for calcium.
Oh, did I mention that I only use natural colours as well?
Phew, that is a lot of nutritional information! Now I bet you are thinking... "That's all well and good but who cares if it tastes blah! or has an odd after taste?"
Well the BEST news is that my range doesn't compromise on taste; it still tastes rich and creamy like ice cream should. If don't believe me - try it for yourself.
So whether you're reducing your sugar intake, watching your carbs, counting calories or looking for low fat but need a yummy treat, remember, you've got a friend in The Skinny Cow.
